“…Our results are in disagreement with experimental results of Jones & Miller (1974) for the 4226.56 Å line. This result is in disagreement with other theoretical (Dimitrijević & Konjević 1983;Sarandaev et al 2000) and experimental (Musiol et al 1988) results, and selfabsorption is indicated as a possible reason in Konjević & Wiese (1990). The ratio of the experimental Stark width of Jones & Miller (1974) , we will obtain for the theoretical width the value of 0.0503 Å which is practically equal to the calculated value for the 2754.59 Å line (0.0502 Å).…”

“…If one takes into account the simplicity of this method, the agreement is good for the width and within the error bars for the shift. On the basis of examination of systematic trends (Purić et al 1985(Purić et al , 1987(Purić et al , 1991(Purić et al , 1993Purić 1996), dependencies enabling the estimation of the Stark widths of spectral lines due to s-p and p-s transitions of neutral atoms have been found by Sarandaev et al (2000). These simple relations, based on the known ionization potential of the lower/upper level of the corresponding transitions and on the regularities and systematic trends, have been used to determine Stark widths for Ge I 4p 2 1 S-5s 1 P 0 and 4p 2 1 S-5s 3 P 0 transitions.…”

“…These experiments have produced data on the widths (and shifts) of lines in Kr II, Kr III (de Castro et al 2001, Milosavljevic et al 2000, C II, C III and C IV (Sreckovic et al 2000), N II (Mar et al 2000), Ar I (Aparicio et al 1998), Ar IV (Djenize et al 2001), Ne II (Djenize et al 2002), Ne II, Ne III andNe IV (Milosavljevic et al 2001), Br I (Baclawski et al 2002), C III, N III, O III, F III, Ne III (Blagojevic et al 2000), O III (Sreckovic et al 2001), Si III , Sn I and Sn II (Martinez and Blanco 1999), Xe III (Seidel et al 2001), Zr II, Zr III (Dimitrijevic et al 2001). Regularities in the widths of neutral ns-np and np-ns lines have been investigated by Sarandaev et al (2000), and an interesting study of the line of N I at 791.5 nm has been carried out in order to obtain very accurate results for use in future measurements of electron densities (Wujec et al 2002).…”
