Abstract:The Gaussian TVA.R process is of primary interest because of its wide applicability to the modeling real-world sources, e.g., speech signals and rasterized image signals. We then investigated and constructed the rate-distortion function R ( D ) for the class of time-varying nonstationary Gaussian signals. The numerical evaluations of the R ( D ) function for 1-D Gaussian TVAR processes are also presented.
scite is a Brooklyn-based startup that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
