Abstract: We study the quasi-two-body decays B → P D * 0 (2400) → P Dπ with P = (π, K, η, η ′ ) in the perturbative QCD factorization approach. The predicted branching fractions for the considered decays are in the range of 10 −9 -10 −4 . The strong Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) suppression factor RCKM ≈ λ 4 (ρ 2 + η2 ) ≈ 3 × 10 −4 results in the great difference of the branching ratios for the decays with D * 0 and D * 0 as the intermediate states. The ratio R D * 0 0 between the decays B

“…Although there are many hints that the light scalars are four-quark states, we here still regard f 0 (980) as two quark structure. In two-quark picture, many experimental evidences indicate that both ss and q q are involved in the f 0 (980), and the mixing form is given by [100] |f 0 (980) = |q q sin θ + |ss cos θ, (68) with q q = (uū + d d)/ √ 2. The value of the mixing angle θ is not well determined so far, as it varies considerably in different analysis.…”

“…While in the quasi-two-body framework based on PQCD, one can easily introduce the nonperturbative subprocess K * 0 → Kπ into a time-like form factor in the distribution amplitudes of the Kπ pair. The quasi-two-body framework based on PQCD has been discussed in detail in [68] and has been adopted in some studies on the quasi-two-body B meson decay processes recently [117][118][119][120][121][122][123][124][125][126].…”
