Abstract: The quantum transport theory of electrical conductivity of a model system of electrons interacting with fixed ions should unify the usual theories of electrical conductivity of doped semiconductors, liquid metals, and dense ion plasmas. Starting from the method of nonequilibrium statistical operator, the conductivity is expressed by correlation functions which can be evaluated using the Green's function technique.
