Objective: To analyze the quality of health in relation to the components of structure, process, and outcome in actions for the prevention and control of infections. Method: An integrative literature review in the LILACS, Web of Science, Scopus, and SciELO databases. The time delimitation covered articles published between January 2009 and May 2019. Results: The final sample consisted of 10 articles published, mainly in Scopus (60%), and in Web of Science (30%). The structural elements varied among the study countries, suggesting opportunities for improvement of organizational characteristics and human resources. Regarding the process of the implemented routines, inconsistencies were found to comply with the guidelines. The result component was not emphasized among the studies included in the review. Conclusion: The quality of hospital infection control programs has yet to be improved among the health services, highlighting the need for investment in the structure, process, and outcome components.

Objetivo: refletir sobre ações relacionadas à segurança do paciente na pandemia. Metodologia: ensaio teórico-reflexivo, produzido a partir da análise crítica da literatura nacional e internacional sobre segurança do paciente na pandemia do novo Coronavírus. Resultados: a pandemia tem refletido em diversos setores da sociedade e consequentemente na assistencial ao paciente. Como ações relacionadas a segurança do paciente diante do novo Coronavírus, utilizadas e sugeridas por órgãos reguladores e instituições de saúde, destaca-se: revisão de fluxos e protocolos assistenciais; reforço nas metas internacionais de segurança do paciente, como higienização e mãos e comunicação efetiva; utilização de indicadores de qualidade; treinamento de equipes; ações gerenciais; criação de comitês de crise; educação em saúde e demais iniciativas inovadoras. Considerações finais: a pandemia vem reforçar a importância da segurança do paciente e resgatar ações e estratégias para o cuidado seguro e de qualidade, bem como superar os desafios emergidos.

Objetivo: compreender o significado da violência obstétrica para mulheres. Método: trata-se de um estudo qualitativo, com abordagem fenomenológica heideggeriana, com mulheres em fase reprodutiva. Realizou-se a coleta de dados por meio de entrevistas gravadas, guiadas por um roteiro e analisadas sob a perspectiva da fenomenologia. Resultados: construíram-se as Unidades de Significação a partir das falas das depoentes, sendo, assim, agrupadas. Revela-se que a violência obstétrica significou para as mulheres: << Unidade de Significado 1: Ser conhecida por ouvir falar em cursos, palestras, internet, em relatos de pessoas amigas e sofrida por ela mesma; << Unidade de Significado 2: Machucar o físico, o psicológico e exercer uma pressão; << Unidade de Significado 3: Sentir-se incomodada, sem ter ajuda, sentir-se machucada no parto e não ter atenção. Conclusão: evidenciou-se a necessidade de um fortalecimento da consulta de pré-natal proporcionada pelo enfermeiro, abordando temas diversos e reflexivos, e ofertando uma saúde integral de qualidade, curativa e preventiva. Method: this is a qualitative study with a Heidegger’s phenomenological approach, with women in the reproductive phase. Results: the Meaning Units were formed from interviewees’ statements and thus grouped together. The obstetric violence meant for women: << Meaning Unit 1: Being known by hearing about in courses, lectures, internet, reports of friends and suffered by herself; << Meaning Unit 2: Hurting the physical, psychological, and exerting a pressure; << Meaning Unit 3: Feeling annoyed, helpless, feeling hurt in delivery and having no attention. Conclusion: there is need for strengthening of prenatal consultation provided by nurses, covering various reflexive topics, and offering a comprehensive quality, curative and preventive health care. La violencia obstétrica significaba para las mujeres: << Unidad de Significado 1: Ser conocida por oír hablar en cursos, conferencias, internet, en informes de amigos y sufrido por ella misma; << Unidad de Significado 2: El daño físico, psicológico, y ejercer una presión; << Unidad de Significado 3: Sentirse molestas, sin ayuda, sentirse heridas en el parto y no tener ninguna atención. Conclusiones: Se evidencia la necesidad de un reforzamiento de la consulta prenatal proporcionada por enfermeras, cubriendo diversos temas y reflexivo, y ofreciendo una atención médica integral de calidad, preventiva y curativa.
