Abstract: In this paper, a PWM plus secondary-side phase-shift (SSPS) controlled full-bridge three-port converter (FB-TPC) is proposed for renewable power system, which is derived by integrating two interleaved Buck/Boost circuits (IBBC) and a SSPS full-bridge converter (FBC), to interface the energy source, energy storage element and output load simultaneously. The two switching legs are shared by the IBBC and FBC, which improves the active devices sharing ratio and power density. With PWM plus SSPS control scheme, dec… Show more

“…The familiar phase-shift control [21] is adopted for TPC to change the power flow from port I to port II and III, where ϕ12 and ϕ13 are the phase-shift angles of the drive signals of the H-bridges at ports I and II, and at ports I and III, respectively, so as to regulate the CL voltage to be constant.…”

The two ports of the TPC can be regarded as a DAB.…”

“…However, the high switching frequency will also increase core losses on magnetic components and switching losses on power MOSFETs. Zero-voltage switching converters [12][13][14][15] have been proposed to achieve a low switching loss. Asymmetric pulse-width modulation [16][17][18], frequency modulation [19][20][21] and a phase-shift pulse-width modulation (PWM) scheme [22][23][24] are general PWM control schemes used in DC/DC converters to regulate load voltage and also realize the mechanism of the zero-voltage turn-on switching.…”
