Abstract:Background: Transthyretin familial amyloid polyneuropathy (TTR-FAP) is a fatal, chronic, progressive disease. It is a rare hereditary amyloidosis, which manifests as a sensorimotor neuropathy and autonomic dysfunction. It begins during adulthood.
