RESUMO -O conceito de discurso, assim como a Análise do Discurso têm tido um papel crescente nas ciências sociais contemporâneas. Este crescimento faz-se sentir quer através do aumento de número de estudos, em diferentes disciplinas, que utilizam os seus conceitos e métodos, quer através da extensão do seu desenvolvimento. Neste artigo pretende-se apresentar algumas concepções de Análise do Discurso mais usadas na psicologia social contemporânea. Começa-se por apresentar em primeiro lugar algumas das infl uências inspiradoras para a virada linguística na psicologia social, que justifi cam o aparecimento deste campo cada vez mais amplo da Análise do Discurso. Por fi m, faz-se a apresentação de quatro concepções distintas dando particular atenção às duas últimas, nomeadamente à Psicologia Discursiva e à Analise Crítica do Discurso.Palavras-chave: análise do discurso; discursos; viragem linguística; psicologia social.

Different Conceptions in Research Practices of Social PsychologyABSTRACT -The concept of Discourse, as well as Discourse Analysis, have been an increasing role in contemporary social sciences. This growth emerges not only from the growing number of studies based on these concepts and methods, but also through the extension of their development. In this article we intend to present some conceptions of Discourse Analysis which are most used in the contemporary social psychology. We begin to present in fi rst place some of the inspiring infl uences for the linguistic turn in social psychology that can justify the appearing of the larger and larger fi eld of Discourse Analysis. At last, we present four distinguished Discourse Analysis conceptions, giving particular attention to the last ones namely Discursive Psychology and the Critical Discourse Analysis.Key words: discourse analysis; discourses; linguistc turn; social psychology.Como as autoras Marianne Jorgensen e Louise Phillips referem no início do seu livro Discourse Analysis as Theory and Method (2002) nos últimos 10 anos o "discurso" tem sido um termo da moda. Ele tem sido usado quer em textos científi cos quer em debates, mas frequentemente fi ca por defi nir. O termo acabou por se tornar vago ou pelo contrário muito preciso, mas frequentemente representando concepções diferentes. Investigadores de disciplinas tão diversas como a antropologia, a sociologia, a história, a psicologia social, os estudos de género, a teoria política ou a teoria literária entre outras, têm usado o conceito de discurso, e a Análise do Discurso (AD) para defi nir e interpretar problemas nos seus domínios respectivos.Pode-se dizer que a "geografi a" do terreno discursivo é complexa, por vezes composta por pressupostos radicalmente incompatíveis (ver por exemplo, Wetherell, Taylor & Yates, citados por Antaki, Billig, Edwards & Potter, 2003), por isso sob o mesmo nome de AD coexistem perspectivas múltiplas com "características e procedimentos também diferentes" (Iñiguez, 2004, p. 53).Independentemente da diversidade conceptual, existem algumas razões...
