Abstract: X-ray diffraction, neutron diffraction and differential scanning calorimetry were used to investigate phase transitions in the ternary system phospholipid/dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO)/water under cooling for three homologous phospholipids: dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC), dipalmitoylphosphatidylcholine (DPPC), and distearoylphosphatidylcholine (DSPC).
