Proof-of-Reputation Based-Consortium Blockchain for Trust Resource Sharing in Internet of Vehicles

Abstract: Resource sharing among vehicles can highly improve the capability and efficiency of Internet of Vehicles (IoV). However, it is challenging to establish trust and preserve privacy during the resource sharing process because of the high mobility and topological variability in IoV. Emerging blockchain technology expresses the excellent performance in handling distributed trust due to its verifiable and immutable ledger. In this paper, we first propose a consortium blockchain-based resource sharing paradigm in IoV… Show more

“…Pim et al 59 proposed a TrustChain model that works on three‐layer structure for TM in consortium BC for the purpose of trust and reputation score evaluation for different participants in supply chain management. The work in Reference 60 presented a trust architecture based on authentication protocols and crosslayer supports for software‐defined network in IIoT systems architecture. Similarly, authors in References 61,62 proposed a proof‐of‐reputation (PoR) for TM in vehicular network while resource sharing.…”

“…Chai et al. [ 95 ] designed a consensus mechanism for blockchain-based V2X networks, in which the validation of data interaction is conducted based on vehicles’ credit degrees. In addition, by combining distributed identities with the underlying layer of blockchain, Shi et al.…”

“…A coalition chain-based resource sharing scheme for vehicular networks is proposed in References. 6,7 In this scheme, resource sharing among vehicles is encapsulated as a transaction and recorded in a roadside unit (RSU). The scheme uses a lightweight consensus mechanism to reduce the computational power consumption of a single vehicle.…”

“…This system structure can improve the resource utilization rate in the manufacturing network through a dynamic sharing method, it can provide these services flexibly, improve the efficiency of industrial resource sharing, and increase the economy. A coalition chain‐based resource sharing scheme for vehicular networks is proposed in References 6,7 . In this scheme, resource sharing among vehicles is encapsulated as a transaction and recorded in a roadside unit (RSU).…”
