Background: Among the frequent daily challenges in the practice of gynecology are abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) beside the distinction of fundamental endometrial lesions that stand behind it .Ki67 is among the excellent markers as the higher proliferation rate is one of the features of cancer cells. Aim: This study aims to clarify the expression of Ki67 in the endometrium of women suffering from abnormal uterine bleeding in Nineveh Province and to correlate its expression with the histological picture. Subjects, Materials, and Methods: This is a case series study that was enrolled analysis of data (retrospectively and prospectively) of 51 females who were presented with history of abnormal uterine bleeding and they were underwent an elective D&C and or hysterectomy after admission in several Hospitals, in Nineveh Province, Northern Iraq from 1 st January, 2020 to 30 th December, 2020. The selected paraffin blocks (n-=51) were cut into 3-4 micrometers thick sections and mounted on poly-L-lysine glass slides for immunohistochemical staining with using of positive and negative control sections at Unit of Immunohistochemistry in Vin Hospital -Duhok-North of Iraq. Staining was performe using the optimized protocol recommended by the International Ki67 in Breast Cancer Working Group together with Dako Autostainer according to manufacturer instructions. Results: This work revealed that 23(45%) out of 51 cases were aged >50 years. The highest mean of percentage of Ki67expression was in sections of proliferative endometrium. In fact, sections of 3/7 of cases which were exhibited a percentage of Ki67 expression from 76% to 100% aged >50 years, while sections of 3/7 of cases of menopause women showed percentage of Ki67 expression from 26% to 75 %. Further, 12 cases out of 17 showed an intensity of staining score of 2 were aged ˂50 years, while 3 out of 5 cases (which revealed an intensity of 3 ) were aged < 50 years. Five cases out of 17 which showed an intensity of staining score of 2 were aged >50 years, while 2 out of 5 cases which exhibited an intensity score of 3 were aged > 50 years. The current study showed that 11/16 cases of benign conditions presented with percentage of Ki67 expression of less than 25%,while 14/15 cases of endometrial hyperplasia presented with Ki67 expression of <25%. In contrary, 8 cases out of 20 of cases of endometrial adenocarcinoma showed Ki67 expression of >25%. Further, the intensity of Ki67 immunostaining of more than 2 was shown in 4 cases of endometrial adenocarcinoma. Regarding cases of endometrial hyperplasia, the current work revealed that 7 cases (46%) out of 15 cases were aged more than 50 years. About 4 cases (26%) of them are of atypical type with no significant differences between the percentage and intensity of Ki67 expression in cases of endometrial hyperplasia. Background. Gastric cancer pathological biopsy and visual examination have been the gold standard for gastric cancer diagnosis, but their operation is costly, demanding, and risky, so it is especially important to find an effective examination method in clinical practice. Aims. To investigate the correlation between serum pepsinogen I (PGI), pepsinogen II (PGII), pepsinogen I and II ratio (PGR), IL-6, and TNF-α and Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection in patients with gastric cancer. Materials and Methods. Fifty patients with Hp-infected gastric cancer admitted to the Department of Gastroenterology of our hospital from January 2019 to December 2021 were selected for the study as the observation group, and another 50 patients without Hp-infected gastric cancer were selected as the comparison group to compare the correlation analysis of PGI, PGII, PGR, IL-6, and TNF-α with Hp infection between the two groups after admission and treatment. Results. After measurement, PGI and PGII in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the comparison group, and TNF-α, IL-18, and IL-6 in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the comparison group, and the comparative differences were all statistically significant ( P < 0.05 ). The results of multivariate logistic regression model analysis of independent risk factors for gastric cancer showed that IL-18, hs-CRP, and tumor necrosis factor- (TNF-) α were risk factors for Hp infection in gastric cancer. Conclusion. The expression of IL-18, hs-CRP, and TNF-α factors in Hp-infected gastric cancer patients is correlated. IL-6, IL-18, and TNF-α are involved in the entire process from the onset to the development of Hp-positive gastric mucosal inflammation in patients, which is of great value in the diagnosis of gastric cancer and helps to assess the degree of progression and prognosis of gastric cancer.

This study aimed to explore the diagnosis of endometrial polyps (EMP) by ultrasound imaging based on multi-operator algorithms combined with hysteroscopy. This study is the first to investigate the resolution of the ultrasound adaptive beamforming algorithm (MOAD), after which the proposed algorithm was applied to ultrasound diagnosis of 102 patients with EMP and pathologically diagnosed with vaginal irregular bleeding, and the evaluation efficacy of the MOAD algorithm based on EMP was compared. The resolution of the MOAD-based imaging algorithm (0.0645) was significantly lower than that of the diagonal loading operator (0.1475), the symbol coherence coefficient operator (0.1342), and the generalized coherence factor operator (0.1234), with significant differences ( P < 0.05 ). The proportion of patients with EMP aged 46–55 years was the largest (55.9%). There were 64 cases of EMP that produced complications, of which the proportion of patients with uterine fibroids (41.52%), abnormal uterine bleeding (76.24%), and menstrual changes (42.57%) was relatively large. Patients with nonfunctioning polyps accounted for the largest proportion (84.46%), followed by those with basal polyps (76.24%), and the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0.05 ). The positive cases of EMP detected by ultrasound imaging (38 cases) were significantly lower than those with pathological diagnosis (94 cases), and the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0.05 ). The SE, SP, FNR, and FPR of EMP diagnosed by ultrasound imaging combined with hysteroscopy were 64.45%, 84.67%, 35.48%, and 13.36%, respectively. It has high diagnostic value compared with single ultrasound imaging diagnosis, and the difference was statistically significant ( P < 0.05 ). In conclusion, the imaging based on the MOAD algorithm is obvious and the pixel resolution can be successfully improved. The diagnostic value of ultrasound combined with hysteroscopy for EMP was better than that of ultrasound alone ( P < 0.05 ), and it had a high diagnostic value.
