Seven cases were diagnosed post-mortem; four of these had no prior cardiac imaging owing to lack of availability or lack of initial suspicion [ 5 , 6 , 10 , 12 ], including one reported by Olavarria and Fajardo [ 6 ] with known disseminated coccidioidomycosis and another by Epstein [ 5 ] that had positive blood cultures for Coccidioides species.
