Street market saleswomen: strategies for the recognition of health needs

Objectives: to describe the strategies used by street market saleswomen to recognize their health needs. Methods: qualitative research, based on the Human Needs Theory. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews, with the participation of 15 street market saleswomen. Content Analysis was used to interpret the results. Results: the following categories emerged: “Potentialities and challenges for addressing health needs”, which reflect changes in attitudes and practices related to socially recognized behaviors as harmful, and changes in the work process; and “Popular practices in health care”, which points out therapeutic alternatives for the resolution of health problems. Final considerations: the therapeutic choices of street market saleswomen are geared towards meeting their perceived health needs. While the minority of these women recognize their more complex health needs to satisfy it, it is necessary to overcome barriers and limitations in an ongoing way in their lives.

Teelessaúde e Atenção Primária à Saúde na p .... OBJETIVO: Descrever a importância da implementação da educação em saúde na prevenção de neoplasias penianas. MÉTODOS: Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura, realizada entre os meses de junho e julho de 2022, através dos bancos de dados da Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde. Utilizados os Descritores em Ciências da Saúde (DeCS) em cruzamento com o operador booleano AND. Estabelecidos os critérios de inclusão e exclusão, desta forma, foram selecionados cinco artigos para compor o estudo. RESULTADOS: Os principais resultados evidenciam a diminuição da incidência da neoplasia peniana conforme a implementação de ações educacionais, desta forma constata-se que a educação em saúde é uma ferramenta essencial na promoção da saúde do homem, em relação a saúde sexual na prevenção de neoplasias, e o profissional da enfermagem destaca-se neste processo. Em relação ao perfil social dos pacientes acometidos pela neoplasia destaca-se a baixa escolaridade, evidenciando na importância da assistência adequada e compreensível para todos os níveis sociais. CONCLUSÃO: A educação é um instrumento imprescindível na promoção da saúde, e desta forma faz-se necessário a formulação de protocolos assistenciais, além da inclusão de componentes relacionados à saúde homem, na formação acadêmica do profissional. PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Neoplasias penianas. Educação em saúde. Saúde do homem. OBJECTIVE:To describe the importance of implementing health education in the prevention of penile neoplasms. METHODS: This is a narrative review of the literature, carried out between June and July 2022, through the Virtual Health Library databases. Descriptors in Health Sciences (DeCS) were used in crossing with the Boolean operator AND. Having established the inclusion and exclusion criteria, in this way, five articles were selected to compose the study. RESULTS: The main results show the decrease in the incidence of penile neoplasia, in relation to the social profile of patients affected by the neoplasia, identified: Married, white, heterosexual, average age -above 40 to 65 years, low education and retirees; Health education proves to be an essential tool in the promotion of men's health, in relation to sexual health in the prevention of neoplasms, and the nursing professional stands out in this process. CONCLUSION: Education is an essential tool in health promotion, and thus, it is necessary to formulate care protocols, in addition to the inclusion of components related to men's health, in the professional's academic training.

The care for oncologic patients undergoing pediatric palliative care and the griefs of a health team

Introduction: The health care offered to children and adolescents with cancer has been expanded, giving space to orthothanasia and palliative care, with a comprehensive look at the subject facing the threat to the continuity of life, as well as challenging professionals to access issues related to grief. Objectives: In order to explore this reality, this study intended to analyze how professionals experience grieving processes in the exercise of palliative care in pediatric oncology. Method: A qualitative research was conducted with the participation of 23 health professionals working in palliative oncology and pediatric care, who responded to a semi-structured interview script, whose analyses were performed with the support of the IRaMuTeQ (Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires) software. Results: The results were organized in four classes: in class 1, the specificities of the treatment of children with cancer and other aspects related to chronic illness are portrayed; class 2 shows that health trainings do not prepare professionals to deal with death and with patients with no possibility of cure, and these professionals have (pre-) concepts about palliative care; class 3 highlights the principles of palliative care and other factors of the work in this therapy; and class 4 deals with the bonds formed by professionals and their grieving experiences. Conclusions: Cure must not be a requirement for the provision of care in relation to children with cancer that can benefit from the adoption of palliative care therapy and the validation of the sensitivity of professionals.
