Profile: Matthew Colless

Abstract: Prof. Matthew Colless, Director of the Anglo‐Australian Observatory and Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science, is internationally recognized for his leadership of the 2dF Galaxy Redshift Survey. But how did he go from using a simple telescope as a boy, to mapping the universe and uncovering the key cosmological parameters to advance our understanding of the universe?
