RESUMOA produção agrícola na região semiárida é limitada pela escassez hídrica, onde, a prática da irrigação é uma das principais tecnologias usada para assegurar o crescimento e a produção das plantas. Neste sentido, objetivou-se avaliar o efeito de diferentes doses de nitrogênio associado à irrigação com água residuária doméstica pós-tratada em filtro de areia com fluxo intermitente, sobre o crescimento e alocação de fitomassa do quiabeiro cv. Santa Cruz, cultivado em região semiárida da Paraíba. O experimento foi conduzido no município de Pombal, Paraíba, no período de fevereiro a setembro de 2014, utilizando-se o delineamento experimental em blocos casualizado, com quatro repetições. Os tratamentos resultaram em seis doses nitrogênio (N1 = 0; N2 = 40; N3 = 80; N4 = 120; N5 = 160; e N6 = 200 kg ha -1 ) correspondendo, respectivamente, a 0; 25; 50; 75; 100 e 125% da recomendação de adubação para a cultura do quiabo, e irrigação com água residuária. Foram avaliadas as variáveis de crescimento e fitomassa das plantas. O quiabeiro mesmo sendo considerada uma cultura rústica, responde as aplicações de nitrogênio quando cultivado sob condições edafoclimáticas do semiárido paraibano.
