Primary psychiatric conditions: Dermatitis artefacta, trichotillomania and neurotic excoriations

Abstract: Primary psychiatric conditions encountered in dermatology include dermatitis artefacta, trichotillomania (TTM) and neurotic excoriations. For these disorders, the primary pathologic condition involves the psyche; therefore, any cutaneous findings are self-induced.
