Abstract: A novel low-density (0.4-0.5 g/cm 3 ) hollow composite material with the superparamagnetic character has been synthesized by coating glass microballoons (GMBs) with magnetite (Fe 3 O 4 ) nanoparticles via chemical deposition process.
