Preparation of Deoiled Soy Lecithin by Ultrafiltration

Abstract: Deoiling of soy lecithin through ultrafiltration (UF) using an inorganic ceramic membrane was examined in a favorable solvent medium (hexane). Phospholipid (PL) reverse micelles with an average particle size of 9.8 nm were prepared in a 1:3 soy lecithin/hexane system (m/m) with 9% water added at a temperature of 25°C. Consequently, an inorganic ceramic membrane with a pore size of 5 nm was selected. UF was employed in continuous diafiltration mode at transmembrane pressure (TMP) of 0.25 MPa, and a final deoile… Show more

“…X-ray structural analysis and the electric neutrality principle shows 3,4-H 2 bptc 2-in 1 and 3,4-bptc 4-in 2. Bidentate bridging of the carboxylates exists in these two compounds, similar to previous reports for modes of carboxylic groups[58,63,64].3.2. Structural description3.2.1.…”

“…The value for 2 is indicative of strong antiferromagnetic interactions [72,73], while 1 displays weak ferromagnetic interactions. The antiferromagnetic interactions are obviously due to a long-range superexchange pathway between adjacent magnetic centers [74,75]; the bridging carboxylic groups may lead to antiferromagnetic behavior, as shown in {[Co 3 (nbtb) 2 (bpe) 3 [63,64]. The analysis of magnetic data for 1 is complicated by spin-orbit coupling, distortion from regular stereochemistry, electron delocalization, and crystal field mixing of excited states into the ground state, affecting the magnetic properties [76].…”

“…Among various organic ligands, carboxylates have attracted considerable attention due to their various coordination modes. [1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8] The judicious combination of metal ions and predesigned organic ligands under suitable reaction conditions afford various kinds of MOF structures with desired functionalities. The use of carboxylates can generate a large number of coordination polymeric complexes composed of chains, sheets and 3D networks with an enormous variety of intriguing structural topologies.…”
