Preparation and application of acrylamide molecularly imprinted composite solid-phase extraction materials

Abstract: A novel acrylamide (AA) molecularly imprinted material based on silica microparticles was synthesized successfully by a surface polymerization method using propionamide (PAM) as a template molecule, methacrylic acid (MAA) as a functional monomer, and ethylene glycol dimethacrylate (EGDMA) as a cross-linker. The molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) on the surfaces of silica microparticles were characterized using infrared spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy, and the results suggested that the MIP was … Show more

“…In this study, an MISPE with thiamphenicol as the template molecule was developed and optimized by chromatographic methods for specific, simultaneous, qualitative, and quantitative analyses of chloramphenicol, thiamphenicol florfenicol, and florfenicol amine in aquaculture samples coupled with liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS). The significant progress of MIPs in SPE and SPME in food analyses is summarized in Table , …”

“…Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIP) are synthetic polymers with specific recognition sites for targeted molecule based on a monomer, template and a cross-linker. Several nonconductive functional monomers [3][4][5][6]) were already used for the creation of MIP for AA molecule. Two of them [5,6] were used just for adsorption of AA for its indirect determination with HPLC.…”

“…Several nonconductive functional monomers [3][4][5][6]) were already used for the creation of MIP for AA molecule. Two of them [5,6] were used just for adsorption of AA for its indirect determination with HPLC. And the other two [3,4] were used for electrochemical determination of AA concentration in aqueous samples by using additional redox probe molecule -potassium ferricyanide or potassium ferrocyanide.…”

“…Therefore, its structural analogue propanamide (PMA), which is similar to AM in terms of its spatial structure, size, and functional groups, can be used as a dummy template molecule for the polymerization of MIPs. 28,29 We hypothesized that a combination of surface molecular self-assembly and the co-polymerization of polyaminothiophenol and gold nanoparticles (P-ATP-AuNPs) on a Au electrode will produce a specic amount of effective imprinted sites and thus enhance its conductivity. The electrochemical behavior of AM at the imprinted lm sensor was characterized by cyclic voltammetry (CV) and differential pulse voltammetry (DPV).…”
