Abstract: The effect of spray drying salbutamol sulphate, salbutamol sulphate/lactose and salbutamol sulphate/polyethylene glycol (PEG) solutions was investigated. Co-spray drying salbutamol sulphate with lactose, which is amorphous when spray dried alone, resulted in amorphous composites.
