“…Species of the genus Pontibacter are distributed widely in nature, and have been isolated from marine actinians, desert soil, muddy water, sea water, forest soil, hexachlorocyclohexane- (HCH) contaminated soil and solar salterns (Nedashkovskaya et al , 2005; Suresh et al , 2006; Zhou et al , 2007; Dastager et al , 2010; Joung et al , 2011, 2013; Dwivedi et al , 2013; Kang et al , 2013; Singh et al , 2013; Zhang et al , 2013; Cao et al , 2014; Subhash et al , 2014).
