Abstract: There is an urgent need for lithium-ion batteries with high energy density to meet the increasing demand for advanced devices and ecofriendly electric vehicles. Spinel LiNi 0.5 Mn 1.5 O 4 (LNMO) is the most promising cathode material for achieving high energy density due to its high operating voltage (4.75 V vs Li/Li + ) and impressive capacity of 147 mAh g −1 .
