“…In developing the manual, the focus has been very much on assisting homes to identify the things they are doing well, not just the things they may not be doing well, from the perspective of their residents.Most important, it provides a means by which homes can remain responsive to the needs and concerns of their consumers.Relevance to the UKAsBartlett and Phillips (1996) have pointed out, private provision of long-term care for older people in the UK has experienced a more rapid growth in recent years than public provision. This expansion of the private sector has brought the issue of quality and standards of care more to the fore.…”
