“…Some clinicians favor conservative management for pneumolabyrinth with bed rest, head elevation, use of a stool softener, and avoidance of Valsalva's maneuver and straining 5,6 . However, an exploratory tympanotomy is recommend for patients who show aggravation of vestibular symptoms and HL 5,6 . In the present two cases, the patients were treated for pneumolabyrinth with conservative management because there was an improvement of vestibular symptoms, no aggravation of HL, and no suspected perilymph leakage in the middle ear cavity, as seen on HRCT scans.…”
