Plasma polymerization of fluoromethanes

Abstract: Methane and fluoromethanes (CHnF4−n, 1 ≤ n ≤ 3) were subjected to an rf glow discharge plasma. All the fluoromethanes (including methane) polymerized in the plasma and formed thin films. The deposition rate of the fluoromethanes depended on their monomer structure: CH2F2, of which the F/H ratio is unity, showed the greatest deposition rate. Exaggerated anticipatory anxiety is common in social anxiety disorder (SAD). Neuroimaging studies have revealed altered neural activity in response to social stimuli in SAD, but fewer studies have examined neural activity during anticipation of feared social stimuli in SAD. The current study examined the time course and magnitude of activity in threat processing brain regions during speech anticipation in socially anxious individuals and healthy controls (HC).
