Mental health in Primary Care: challenges for the resoluteness of actions

Objective: To identify the challenges faced by professionals to add resoluteness to actions in mental health developed in the context of Primary Care. Method: Qualitative study with 30 professionals, including 17 nurses, four doctors, five psychologists and four social workers. Data were collected in three municipalities of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, in April 2018, through a semi-structured interview, later submitted to thematic analysis. Results: Challenges pointed out by professionals to add resoluteness to actions in mental health are related to the lack of specific knowledge to support the actions professionals perform; with the organization of services and participation of managers; and with the ambivalence of people with mental disorders regarding acceptance and continuity of treatment. Conclusion: The construction of shared practices among professionals, people with mental disorders and their families is necessary. Implications for practice: The study allows theoretical-practical articulations capable of generating transformations in mental health care model.

Objective to analyze the main challenges of nursing in facing Coronavirus Disease-19 under the perspective of nurse managers in the west macro-region of Santa Catarina. Method it consists of a qualitative study, whose data collection was done through interviews with nurses who represent the management of health care network in the region. The analysis technique used was the Discourse of the Collective Subject (DCS). Results the legacy of Florence Nightingale to contemporary nursing practice; the weaknesses and the technical operational capacity with which nursing faces in the Unified Health System (Sistema Único de Saúde - SUS); the strategies for strengthening the Unified Health System and qualification of nursing practices; and the potentialities identified in the pandemic scenario were the main ideas that emerged. In the bicentennial year of Florence Nightingale, nurses recognize her legacy to public health practice and management. Several variables interfere in professional practice, such as epidemiological aspects, working conditions, and care management in a pandemic. Conclusion the pandemic scenario has taken nursing to a position of practical and scientific protagonism as a result of its proactivity and leadership in the search for knowledge based on scientific evidence.

RESUMO Objetivou-se avaliar os Centros de Especialidades Odontológicas (CEO) do Brasil credenciados até o ano de 2014. Trata-se de avaliação do tipo normativa, quantitativa, baseada em indicadores e parâmetros orientados pela construção de um modelo avaliativo. Os CEO do Brasil foram julgados como bom, regular ou ruim. A maioria dos CEO do Brasil (68,1%) foi classificada como regular. Na dimensão estrutural, 78,1% dos CEO foram classificados como bom; na organizacional, 64,6% como regular; e na de produtividade, 48,2% como ruim. Houve associação significativa entre o julgamento final dos CEO e a localização geográfica e o porte populacional dos municípios. A avaliação evidenciou o não cumprimento de diversos indicadores normativos, demonstrando que não estão atendendo plenamente às normas preconizadas. PALAVRAS-CHAVE Avaliação em saúde. Saúde bucal. Especialidades odontológicas.ABSTRACT It is the objective of this study to perform a normative evaluation of the Dental Specialties Centers (CEO) in Brazil accredited until the year 2014. It is a normative evaluation, with a quantitative approach, based on indicators and parameters guided by the construction of an evaluation model. CEO in Brazil were rated as bad, average or good. The majority of CEO in Brazil (68.1%) were classified as average. In the structural dimension, 78.1% of CEOs were classified as good; in the organizational dimension, 64.6% as average; and in productivity, 48.2% as bad. There was a significant association between the CEO's final judgment and the geographical location and population size of the municipalities.
