Piezoelectricity in NaNbO3ceramics

Abstract: Piezoelectric and dielectric measurements were performed on different batches of polarized NaNbO3 ceramics. It has been established that, as a result of polarization, in these ceramics there appears a metastable ferroelectric phase existing for a long time. The presence of this phase manifests itself as a piezoelectric effect accompanied by a piezoresonance dispersion of the dielectric permittivity. The magnitudes and temperature dependencies of the piezoelectric coefficients d33 of the NaNbO3 ceramics were me… Show more

“…It can be seen that the d 33 of pure NaNbO 3 (Fig. 9a) presents a slight increase with increasing annealing temperature until about 200 8C (far lower than the T C ), also the data reported by Reznitchenko et al [41] shows similar increments and future work is needed for better understanding. Finally, it falls close to zero when the temperature further rises above 380 8C.…”

“…It can be found from Fig. 1c that the characteristic peaks of CO 3 2-at 1,449, 880 and 702 cm -1 disappear after ANO and Na 2 CO 3 are mixed in water. The thermal behaviors of ANO and Na 2 CO 3 /ANO precursor were investigated by TG analysis as shown in Fig.…”

“…ANO was prepared according to reference [35]. The molecular formula for the recrystallized ANO was established as NH 4 3 by XRD analysis, which matched well with the standard data of JCPDS 83-1993. Regarding the hygroscopic property, the water content of each reagent was measured by TG analysis before use.…”
