The monitoring of selected physicochemical parameters and chemical composition of water was conducted in 2017-2018 in the Lubrzanka river and the Cedzyna reservoir (Swietokrzyskie Mountains, Poland). The results indicate that the impact of reservoir on the quality of river water depends on natural characteristics of the catchment as well as on the present anthropogenic pressure. Retention of water in the reservoir caused seasonally diversified changes in analysed parameters, including an increase in water temperature, retention of major ions, nutrients and trace elements. Further research is needed to assess the risk of contamination of lower course of the river with metals deposited in reservoir’s bottom sediments.

Zarys treści. W artykule zaprezentowano wyniki geoarcheologicznych badań przeprowadzonych w obrębie oraz otoczeniu dwóch wielokulturowych stanowisk archeologicznych w Tominach i Zawadzie (południowo-wschodnia część Przedgórza Iłżeckiego), w bezpośrednim sąsiedztwie północnej krawędzi pokrywy lessowej Wyżyny Sandomierskiej. Ich zasadniczych celem była kompleksowa rekonstrukcja osadniczej i gospodarczej aktywności człowieka w analizowanym obszarze w okresie ostatnich około 5 tysięcy lat, wraz z identyfikacją wszelkich jej uwarunkowań, zarówno na poziomie chronologiczno-kulturowym, jak i środowiskowym. Uzyskane wyniki pozwoliły na określenie przebiegu i skali lokalnych zjawisk kulturowych oraz związanych z nimi procesów osadniczych między późnym neolitem a czasami współczesnymi. Na podstawie uchwyconych śladów eksploatacji oraz przekształceń środowiska naturalnego podjęta została również próba określenia charakteru i stopnia lokalnej antropopresji w neoholocenie.Abstract. The article presents the results of geoarchaeological research carried out within and around two multicultural archaeological sites in Tominy and Zawada (south-eastern Iłża Foothills), in the immediate vicinity of the northern edge of the loess cover of the Sandomierz Upland. The main objective of the research was to comprehensively reconstruct human settlement and economic activity in the study area in the last ca. 5,000 years, along with identifying its conditions, both at the chronologicalcultural and the environmental level. The results allowed a determination of the course and scale of local cultural phenomena and related settlement processes between the late Neolithic and modern times. On the basis of traces of exploitation and transformation of the natural environment, an attempt was made to determine the nature and extent of local anthropopressure in the Neoholocene.

Zarys treści. Na początku XXI wieku, na południe od Chełmna, na szeroką skalę przeprowadzono interdyscyplinarne, archeologiczno-przyrodnicze badania naukowe. Pozyskano wówczas obszerny materiał badawczy z zakresu archeologii, botaniki, geoekologii, geomorfologii, palinologii i pedologii. Na jego podstawie w niniejszej publikacji podjęto próbę rekonstrukcji krajobrazu od początku działalności człowieka, uwzględniającą relacje komponentów przyrodniczych i antropogenicznych. Rezultaty przeprowadzonego studium zaprezentowano na modelach krajobrazowych. Wskazują one na postępującą ewolucję krajobrazu od pierwotnego na początku okresu atlantyckiego, poprzez naturalny (quasikulturowy) w neolicie, kulturowy rolniczo-osadniczy w epoce brązu i żelaza, do kulturowego osadniczo-rolniczego we wczesnym średniowieczu. Słowa kluczowe: wczesnośredniowieczny zespół osadniczy, rekonstrukcja krajobrazu, Dolina Fordońska, Pojezierze Chełmińskie Abstract. At the beginning of the 21st century, south of Chełmno in Poland, interdisciplinary, archaeological and natural research was conducted on a large scale. At that time, extensive research material in the field of archeology, botany, geoecology, geomorphology, palynology and pedology was acquired. On its basis, and taking into account the relations of natural and anthropogenic components, the authors attempt in this publication to reconstruct the landscape from the beginning of human activity. The results of the study are presented on landscape profiles. They indicate the progressive evolution of the landscape from a Primeval landscape at the beginning of the Atlantic period, through a Natural (quasicultural) landscape in the Neolithic Age and an Agricultural-settlement cultural landscape in the Bronze Age and Iron Age, to a Settlement-agricultural cultural landscape in the Early Medieval Period.
