Photoluminescence and photocatalytic degradation studies on some metallophthalocyanines

Abstract: KEYWORDSThis paper deals with the up-conversion intrinsic photoluminescence by exciting the MetalloPhthalocyanine (MPc) prepared by melt method. MPcs were further characterized using UV visible spectrophotometer, FT-IR, and thermal analysis. The magnetic susceptibility, optical absorption and photoluminescence behavior of these compounds were studied. Photocatalytic degradation of amido black 10B dye using different MPcs at varing pH was done to see the efficiency of these compounds. High emission intensity an… Show more

“…The latter is mainly related to the location film thickness and arrangement of the molecules, as a consequence of the deposition process. The emission in the blue region (i.e., 430–550 nm) is present in all spectra and related to the phthalocyanine contribution [ 52 , 53 ]. For TiCl 2 Pc ( Figure 8 a), a maximum emission is observed at 475 nm and for the TiOPc film ( Figure 8 c) at 460 nm, which is also present for the TiCl 2 Pc film.…”

“…When the eld is low, electrons are originating from the conduction band states but as the electric eld increases valance band electrons may play important role for tunnelling and increased the current density. 50 Moreover, the hollow tubular geometry can dissipate more heat from the system during eld emission measurement. From the F-N plot it is clearly shown that two distinct slopes are present in the high eld and low eld regions.…”

“…No degradation of current density was found within the experimental time limit due to chemically and thermally stable character of CuPc. 50 Moreover, the hollow tubular geometry can dissipate more heat from the system during eld emission measurement. 51 For in depth theoretical understanding and further quantitative estimation of the eld emission phenomena at the level of individual nanotips, we computationally investigated the magnitude prole of local electric eld for a single tube without and with plasma etching by a nite displacement method as implemented in ANSYS Maxwell simulation package.…”

“…The sharp weight loss at around 535 C was observed due to the degradation of phthalocyanine ring structure. 28 For CeO 2 , rst weight loss around at 100 C was due to the evaporation of water and then a steady weight loss was observed (Fig. 6b).…”
