Abstract: The photocatalytic degradation of natural organic matter (NOM) and organic substance mixtures under simulated solar UV light has been investigated with suspended TiO(2). It could be shown by size-exclusion chromatography that photocatalysis of NOM led to a reduction of the average hydrodynamic radii and presumably of the nominal molecular weight, too.
