Photoassisted degradation of rhodamine B using poly(ε‐caprolactone) based nanocomposites: Mechanistic and kinetic features

Abstract: The efficiency of poly (ε‐caprolactone)‐cloisite 10A nanocomposite membrane in removing/degrading of an amphoteric dye (rhodamine B) from aqueous samples under visible light is investigated in detail. Nanocomposite membranes were prepared by electrospinning technique using acetone‐chloroform mixture as solvent. The synthesized nanocomposites were used to degrade rhodamine B from aqueous samples under visible light conditions using a 50 W light‐emitting diode lamb. Samples were withdrawn at definite intervals o… Show more

“…Rhodamine B is an organic dye widely used in textile industry as a dyeing agent. Owing to the high stability of the dye, it remains as a water pollutant [12]. Being a carcinogenic material posing adverse effect to ecosystem, the possibility of effective removal of Rhodamine B using synthesized MoO 3 is studied .Evaluation of the photocatalytic activity of synthesized MoO 3 for removal of Rhodamine B in aqueous medium was studied.…”
