Abstract: Visual symptoms of Zn deficiency, induced by excessive P applications, have been observed in commercial orchid nurseries. The supply of other metallic micronutrients, such as Fe and Mn, may also be inadequate in the plant due to high application rates of P. The aim of this study was to investigate this interaction in the nutrition of Phalaenopsis plants. Experimental treatments consisted of three P rates . Dry matter production was evaluated, as well as the levels of P, Zn, Fe, and Mn in both shoots and roots.… Show more

“…Another study discovered the excess of phosphorus profoundly interfered with the absorbtion of other nutrients such as iron, manganese, and zinc . (Novais et al, 2016) The concentration of carbon storage in had a strong relationship with its biomass accumulation (Latifah & Sulistiyono, 2013). Higher biomass production would result in greater carbon storage because carbon was the main material to compose biomass (Viera & Rodríguez-Soalleiro, 2019).…”

“…Therefore, the use of high doses of phosphorus for Paspalum millegrana can lead to deficiency of other nutrients as important as this under the mentioned conditions. According to Novais et al (2016) phosphorus in high concentrations in the soil, decreases the availability of some micronutrients such as iron, copper and zinc to the plant, because these micronutrients are complexed.…”

“…The majority of plants, including eucalyptus hybrid, would grow well and avoid detrimental growth when they absorbed sufficient soil nutrients. Many studies have reported that most eucalyptus trees were highly required the adequate phosphorus nutrient (Albaugh et al, 2015;Novais et al, 2016;Bassaco et al, 2018). Unfortunately, soil type in the study site was classified as ultisols with low phosphorus availability (Nurudin et al, 2013).…”
