Abstract: Polyphenyl derivatives Q 0700 Phosphine Oxides as Stabilizing Ligands for the Palladium-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling of Potassium Aryldimethylsilanolates. -A variety of unsymmetrical biaryls (III) are prepared by palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of potassium arylsilanolate with aryl bromides in the presence (or absence) of phosphine oxides. The silanolate is easily prepared and stored, and can be charged directly into the reaction vessel. The role of triphenylphosphine oxide in the reaction is discussed. -(DENM…
