Polyphenyl derivatives Q 0700 Phosphine Oxides as Stabilizing Ligands for the Palladium-Catalyzed Cross-Coupling of Potassium Aryldimethylsilanolates. -A variety of unsymmetrical biaryls (III) are prepared by palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling of potassium arylsilanolate with aryl bromides in the presence (or absence) of phosphine oxides. The silanolate is easily prepared and stored, and can be charged directly into the reaction vessel. The role of triphenylphosphine oxide in the reaction is discussed. -(DENM…
scite is a Brooklyn-based startup that helps researchers better discover and evaluate scientific articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by researchers from dozens of countries and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
