Abstract: An experimental study of the blending, thermal transitions, phase morphology, and mechanical properties of poly(p-phenylene sulfide) (PPS) /polyamide blends is presented. Nylon-6, rubber modified nylon-6, nylon-66, nylon-1 1, nylon-12, and two partially aromatic amorphous polyamides were included in the study. Generally, blends of PPS with aromatic amorphous polyamides exhibit better mechanical properties than those with aliphatic polyamides.
