Abstract: This paper presents a phase based stiffness tuning algorithm to overcome the uncertainty of the relation between the magnetic current and the natural frequency for magnetorheological elastomer (MRE) dynamic vibration absorbers (DVA) caused by the nonlinearity of the MRE.
