Perspectives on nano-nutraceuticals to manage pre and post COVID-19 infections

Abstract: Optimized therapeutic bio-compounds supported by bio-acceptable nanosystems (i.e., precise nanomedicine) have ability to promote health via maintaining body structure, organ function, and controlling chronic and acute effects. Therefore, nano-nutraceuticals (designed to neutralize virus, inhibit virus bindings with receptors, and support immunity) utilization can manage COVID-19 pre/post-infection effects. To explore these approaches well, our mini-review explores optimized bio-active compounds, their ability … Show more

“…Nanosystems can be used as a therapeutic option for the successful delivery of drugs for Omicron 140 . Nano‐neutraceuticals, in the shape of nanosystem‐based masks, gloves and disinfectants, are another example of using nanotechnology for overcoming the higher transmissibility of Omicron 141 . Nanotechnology can also be used to improve therapeutic methods and develop vaccines with a higher efficacy (lipid nanoparticles).…”

“…Dubey et al. [11] have explained in their review article how to design nano-nutraceuticals to deactivate virus that can inhibit the binding of the virus with receptors and support immunity and accomplish pre and post COVID-19 infection. The major antibiotics such as Abyssomicin C, allicin, anthracimycin, berberine, biochanin A, caffeic acid, daptomycin, kibdelomycin, piperine, platensimycin, plazomicin, taxifolin, teixobactin, and thymol which showed strong antibacterial activity against ESKAPE ( Enterococcus faecium, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Acinetobacter baumannii, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Enterobacter spp.)…”
