“…Over the past few decades, several studies have attempted to predict the relationship between personality traits and aesthetic preferences (Chamorro-Premuzic et al, 2010, 2009; Feist & Brady, 2004; Furnham & Chamorro-Premuzic, 2004; Furnham & Walker, 2001a, 2001b; Jankowski et al, 2020; McManus et al, 2010; Palmer & Griscom, 2013; Pietras & Czernecka, 2018; Swami & Furnham, 2012, 2014), as personality traits have been proposed as some of the determinants of an individual’s mental and cognitive function and emotional behavior (Cloninger & Svrakic, 2016; DeYoung & Gray, 2009; Gray, 2004; Gray et al, 2002). Also, in recent years, some surveys have investigated the correlation between personality traits and architectural preferences (Cleridou & Furnham, 2014; Cook & Furnham, 2012; Dębek & Janda-Dębek, 2012; Duffy et al, 1986; Ibrahim et al, 2002; Matthews et al, 2010; Stamps & Nasar, 1997). In this regard, in a study by Pietras and Czernecka (2018), personality traits and demographic characteristics, such as ambivalence and openness to experience, remarkably influenced aesthetic judgment and preferences.…”
