“…In [ 9 ], the authors analyzed the transfer pathway-specific transcriptome. In [ 10 ], the authors described the experience of four patients with peritoneal disseminated hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) who were controlled and managed by cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hot intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) [ 11 ]. In [ 12 , 13 ], the authors revealed whether collagen triple helix repeats are a predictor of peritoneal and lymph node metastasis in epithelial ovarian cancer.…”

“…HCC is a major problem worldwide, with an incidence of approximately 18.3 per 100,000 in China (1), thus posing a significant burden due to its large population. Tumor rupture with subsequent intraperitoneal hemorrhage is a life-threatening condition, and occurs in 3-15% of patients (2)(3)(4)(5)(6), often with high mortality rates and compromised survival (7).…”

“…The prevalence of peritoneal carcinomatosis secondary to hepatocellular carcinoma has reported incidence of 2-6%, however the exact incidence in Pakistan is not known. 3 Spontaneous rupture of HCC is a dreadful complication having an incidence of 5-26% and mortality ranging from 25% to as high as 75%. 4 Hepatectomy is considered as a feasible option for spontaneous HCC ruptures which offers long-term survival in a selected group of patients with 1 and 3-year survival rates being 60%-77% and 42%-54% respectively.…”
