Furthermore, Watson and Robson (1981) showed that thresholds for judging the direction of motion are close to thresholds for absolute detection, making the Sunness et al finding on absolute thresholds particularly relevant to the contrast thresholds for judging motion direction in the Eisenbarth et al study.…”
