As a special type of social information systems, crowdfunding platforms draw researchers' attention in recent years for their increasing popularity. In supplement to big-data analyses on usergenerated content, behavioral research using survey and interview observations provide insights on why people like or hesitate to use such platforms. Nevertheless, extant studies focus on user intention and equity/reward-based projects, leaving the knowledge body on why people actually engage in donation-based crowdfunding underdeveloped. Based on Activity Theory, this study explores the critical success factors of crowdfunding in terms of website acceptance, crowd familiarity, and donation reciprocity. It then develops a research model that adapts relevant constructs from e-commerce and charitable behavior literature to predict user trust and readiness leading to actual donation. To test the hypothesized relationships, a structural equation modeling analysis was performed on 744 survey responses collected from crowdfunding platform users in multiple countries. Results provide supporting evidence to most hypotheses and confirm the importance of factors related to the technological system as well as social collaboration in the crowdfunding activity.

Green supply chain management and firm performance: The mediating effect of green innovation

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to assess green innovation as a mediating variable in the relationship between green supply chain management and firm performance.Design/methodology/approach: This study used the companies listed on the PROPER program for the 2010-2018 period on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample collected by using purposive sampling method obtained 488 companies. The data were tested using STATA 16.Findings: The results of the analysis showed that green supply chain management had a positive effect on green innovation, green innovation had a positive effect on firm performance, and green supply chain management had no effect on firm performance. Green innovation mediated the relationship between green supply chain management and firm performance.Research limitations/implications: The limitation of this study was using companies listed on the PROPER program, so it needed to be studied by applying other companies. Besides, it only implemented green innovation, green supply chain management, and firm performance. Future studies can apply other green-related aspects and performances.Practical implications: Regarding the problem of environmental impact, companies in Indonesia can apply green innovation and green supply chain management to improve their firm performance. Companies in Indonesia are increasingly faced with pressure from stakeholders to implement green supply chain management.Social implications: It is useful for the Indonesian government in overcoming environmental impact issues by implementing green supply chain management by companies. Companies that implement green supply chain management will have an impact on increasing green innovation and firm performance.Originality/value: This study assessed the mediation of green innovation in the relationship between green supply chain management and firm performance. This indicated that here there was pressure from stakeholders to pay full attention to the environment, so that companies in Indonesia can apply green innovation and green supply chain management to improve firm performance.

Moderated Mediation Between Transformational Leadership and Organizational Commitment: The Role of Procedural Justice and Career Growth Opportunities

This study examined a moderated mediation model to explain how the indirect effect of transformational leadership (TL) on employees’ organizational commitment (OC) via procedural justice (PJ) is moderated by career growth opportunities (CGOs) in organizations. Data were gathered from 265 college faculty members. The results indicate that PJ serves as mediator between TL and OC, and this mediation process is affected by career growth. This research contributes to the leadership, human resource management, and organizational psychology literature by explaining how CGOs may affect the mediating process of PJ through which the relationship between TL and OC is determined. Organizational leaders can take insights from the findings of this study to increase their employees’ OC. Theoretical implications and future research directions have been discussed.
