The purpose of this study was to develop valid, practical, and effective context-based (CTL) worksheets for elementary school students in the fifth grade. We used the Borg and Gall's model for research and development. This study was conducted in an urban elementary school in Bandar Lampung city in Indonesia among teachers and fifth grade students. To collect data, we used a variety of research instruments, including tests and questionnaires. We also used expert judgment for validation. Both qualitative and quantitative analyses were performed on the collected data. Based on the results of expert validation and responses to the questionnaire distributed to the research participants, the findings suggest that the CTL-based worksheets we developed in this study were valid and practical with a significance value of <0.05 obtained from the N-Gain test and paired sample t-test. This implies that the CTL-based teaching materials were effective in improving the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade elementary school students.

Know-Want-Learned (KWL) merupakan strategi pembelajaran yang memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk menuliskan pengetahuan awalnya (know), apa yang ingin diketahui (want), dan apa yang telah dipelajari (Learned) pada saat pembelajaran. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu menghasilkan E-LKPD berbasis KWL yang valid (layak) secara teoritis, dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi materi substansi genetik untuk melatihkan keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan adalah 3D-E Models. E-LKPD divalidasi oleh tiga validator (dua dosen ahli, dan satu guru biologi). Instrumen penilitian yang digunakan berupa lembar validasi, dan angket respons 16 peserta didik. Lembar validasi untuk memperoleh data validitas E-LKPD berdasarkan aspek Kelayakan Penyajian, Isi, dan Kebahasaan. Angket respons peserta didik untuk memperoleh data kepraktisan E-LKPD yang menunjukkan bahwa E-LKPD tersebut lengkap, menarik, dan mudah dioperasikan, ditinjau dari Tampilan dan Komponen E-LKPD, Kesesuaian E-LKPD dengan Indikator Literasi Sains, dan Kebahasaan. Hasil validasi E-LKPD yang dihasilkan yaitu sebesar 3,94, menyatakan bahwa E-LKPD ini sangat valid. Hasil kepraktisan E-LKPD yang dihasilkan yaitu sebesar 97,2%, menyatakan bahwa E-LKPD ini sangat praktis. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD ini dinyatakan layak, dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi materi substansi genetik untuk melatihkan keterampilan literasi sains peserta didik. The available guides in chemical kinetic’s learning only explain the adsorption equation, do not explain the type of adsorption and the practical guide is not related to the value of local wisdom. Therefore, it is necessary to have a practical guide on the concept of adsorption isotherm based on local wisdom. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of the laboratory work’s guide and student responses. This research employs a research and development (R D) using ADDIE’s model. The subject in this study was a lab work’s guide for the plant-based isotherm adsorption topic Indigofera tinctoria L utilizing a guided inquiry approach which was tested to 13 students in a limited scale and 34 students in the main scale. The experiment was conducted to chemistry education students of FKIP Untan on academic year 2018-2020 who had learned chemical kinetics courses. Data collection techniques used are direct and indirect communication techniques. Data collection tools used are the feasibility assessment sheets and student response questionnaire. The results of the feasibility assessment in terms of content, graphic and language aspects obtained an average of 91% with very feasible criteria. The results of the limited trial obtained an average of 89% and the results of the main trial of 89% each obtained very good criteria. Based on the results of the feasibility assessment by experts and student responses’ questionnaire that the lab work’s guide can be used in learning process to support students’ understanding of chemical kinetics’ concepts
