Pengaruh Tingkat Pengangguran Terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi di Kabupaten Luwu Utara

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of unemployment rates on economic growth in North Luwu Regency. The data used in this study are secondary data obtained from related agencies, such as the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the North Luwu Regency Manpower Office, in the 2019–2023 period. The analysis method used is simple linear regression to determine the relationship between unemployment rates and economic growth.The conclusion of this study shows that although unemployment is an important problem in the economy, in the context of North Luwu Regency, other factors such as investment, infrastructure, and other productive sectors have a greater influence on economic growth. Therefore, policies are needed that not only focus on reducing the unemployment rate, but also on strengthening other economic factors to support more sustainable growt.
