The purpose of this study is to improve students' understanding of vegetable waste management through the production of biobriquette using audiovisual experimental demonstration. The study is conducted by conducting a pretest to assess student knowledge; teaching biobriquette using instructional video recordings and content explanations and finalizing video recordings based on the results of the first test analysis. Each step is thoroughly scrutinized with an assessment test. The experimental demonstration conducted by observing the biobriquettes production using peanut shells using variation in tapioca binder concentration (10, 20, 30 40, and 50%) and the peanut shell particle sizes (1184, 582, and 310 micrometers). The teaching analysis shows that students understanding has improved significantly after giving treatment using the audio-visual experimental demonstration as the media improves students' comprehension, gives more information, and stimulates students' curiosity and interest in the subject matter. This research provides new knowledge on the need for educational media to illustrate audio-visual experiments to increase student comprehension.

Energy is generally divided into two, the first is non-renewable energy for example oil, coal, and natural gas while the second is renewable energy such as water power, solar power, wind power, and biomass. Briquettes is one of the developments of biomass as an alternative fuel. The purpose of this study was to make and analyze the characteristics of coffee grounds briquettes using an adhesive from orange peel with torrefaction method. Torrefaction is a low temperature (200-300 oC) carbonization process without oxygen. Briquettes are made by percentage of coffee grounds and orange peel adhesive 70% : 30%, 60% : 40%, and 50% : 50%. Torrefaction process with a temperature of 200 oC within 60 minutes without any air or little air in the furnace with the addition of modified elbows. The results showed that the best composition was found in DK1 with a ratio of 70% coffee grounds with 30% orange peel adhesive, which has density 0.49 gr/cm3, water content 5.11%, volatile matter content 78.33%, bound carbon content 17.31%, 0.62% ash content, and 4656 cal/gr calorific value

Atherosclerosis is lipoprotein metabolism disorder which is marked by an increase of total cholesterol level in blood serum. Cowpea contains a lot of isoflavones that can inhibit the activity of the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase in the cholesterologenesis process. The aim of this study is to find out cowpea yogurt which can prevent the increasing total cholesterol level. This study used an experimental study with a post-test only control group design in 30 male rats. It was divided into 5 groups: Results showed that the total cholesterol level among the fifth group was a significant difference (Kruskal-Wallis, p = 0,000). The conclusion of this study is cowpea yogurt can prevent the increasing total cholesterol levels of Wistar rats induced by a high-fat diet.
