“…From this study, we believe the papillated acanthotic epidermis corresponds to the marginal whitish rims. Inside each rim, dilated vessels in the stroma between the elongated rete ridges were visible as linear and hairpin vessels dermoscopically, similar to the appearance in psoriasis and clear cell acanthoma . Furthermore, dermoscopy under compression (similar to diascopy) resulted in disappearance of vessels, and yellow dots and debris, which are thought to correspond to lipid‐laden foam cells, became visible.…”
