“…The lower performance in the peripheral zone (vs the transition zone) may be due to change in algorithm, which sets a size threshold of at least 1.5 cm for both T2-weighted imaging and DWI for a target to considered category 5. It is reported that MR imaging leads to underestimation of tumor volume and diameter at final pathology assessment (20,21).
