Abstract: Background: The number of elderly NSCLC patients continues to rise. Adjuvant chemotherapy for patients with resected early-stage NSCLC improves overall survival. However, individuals ≥70 years old represented just 9% of patients in the LACE meta-analysis of adjuvant chemotherapy trials in NSCLC (Pignon et al ASCO 2006).
