Pathogenesis of Salmonella-induced enteritis

Abstract: Infections with Salmonella serotypes are a major cause of food-borne diseases worldwide. Animal models other than the mouse have been employed for the study of nontyphoidal Salmonella infections because the murine model is not suitable for the study of Salmonellainduced diarrhea.
