“…In contrast to the most frequent asymptomatic infections, severe chronic parasitic pancreatitis and death related to Eurytrema infection, as observed herein, was reported in the natural and experimental PE in goats and sheep (Kono et al ., 1980; Tang and Lin, 1980; Mahato, 1987; Graydon et al ., 1992). Marked pancreatic fibrosis, pallor, atrophy and intraductal trematodes were pathological changes detected in cattle in Brazil with severe E. coelomaticum infections (Ilha et al ., 2005; Rachid et al ., 2011; Quevedo et al ., 2013; Schwertz et al ., 2016 b ).
