Abstract: RESUMO -São apresentados neste trabalho, os padrões de distribuição geográfica dos gêneros de Eriocaulaceae, com ênfase nos gêneros americanos. A divisão genérica da família especialmente na região neotropical ainda não é definitiva, porém existem alguns padrões de distribuição que podem ser detectados.
