P-wave holographic superconductor/insulator phase transitions affected by dark matter sector

Abstract: Abstract:The holographic approach to building the p-wave superconductors results in three different models: the Maxwell-vector, the SU(2) Yang-Mills and the helical. In the probe limit approximation, we analytically examine the properties of the first two models in the theory with dark matter sector. It turns out that the effect of dark matter on the Maxwell-vector p-wave model is the same as on the s-wave superconductor studied earlier. For the non-Abelian model we study the phase transitions between p-wave ho… Show more

“…It is important to note that neither prefactor nor transition temperature itself in the above relation, depend on the coupling constant α of the dark matter. This makes the condensation of θ field completely different from earlier studied superconductors [56][57][58][59][60]. In the latter case both the condensation value and T c showed marked dependence on α.…”

“…On the other hand, as was revealed in [56][57][58][59][60], the condensation value is proportional to 1 − T Tc . It suggests that at the critical temperature T c , the Hall viscosity is independent on α-coupling constant, i.e., η H does not depend on the dark matter sector, in the probe limit.…”

“…The same situation has been encountered earlier in the description of p-wave superconductors in [60]. Therefore we shall not discuss this model and concentrate on the other holographic superfluid p-wave model, the SU(2) one.…”

“…We also assume the absence of back-reaction on the infinite boundary (r → ∞) of AdS [33] (back-reacting holographic superconductors were discussed in References [57][58][59][60]). We consider a small 2-D superconducting system with an applied static magnetic field H ⊥ -acting perpendicular to the x-y coordinates at the AdS boundary.…”
